    ARTICLE 1 – GENERAL RULES

    1.1 CODE OF CONDUCT

Any inappropriate behavior in the game or in the communication software (TS3) will be punished at the discretion of the managers. For what concerns the behavior on track, the following regulation considers typical race circumstances, however, there are conditions that represents inappropriate, dangerous or unfair behaviors towards the drivers that will be severely punished even if they’re not included in the cases reported below. Any usage of Mods will be punished by being disqualified from the championship. Any usage of in game bugs to take advantage will be punished with one race disqualification.

    1.2 COMMUNICATION SOFTWARE
IT’S MANDATORY to use the communication software (TeamSpeak3) with a microphone. This is because all the drivers must be immediately contactable by the race directors for any related communication. The drivers unable to use the communication software or those lacking a microphone won’t be able to attend the race.

    1.3 RECORDING AND VIDEO CLAIMS
It’s higly suggested to record the race for possible claims. The claim must be submitted in the dedicated section of the forum that will be opened by the end of the reace. All the drivers will have 24 hours to upload the videos they want to submit to the race directors attention and 48 hours since the forum thread opening to reply the race directors requests. Any other communication flow (ex. Whatsapp) is not allowed. In the event that a driver can’t upload the video within 24 hours from the thread opening he can publish it within the overall 48 hours given, notwithstanding, by informing on the thread about the accident, the involved driver, the lap and the dynamics of the accident. It is also forbidden to discuss about the accidents in public form, on teamspeak, whatsapp groups or the forum threads. We do suggest to have a private clarification between the drivers involved in an accident.

ARTICLE 2 – DRIVING LICENSE AND WARNINGS

    2.1 DRIVING LICENSE

All the drivers will have a 12 points license for the championship after which they will be excluded from it. There will be also an off season 12 points license (for events and mini-championships that will take place after the main events) after which the driver won’t be able to take place to all the off season events. The license points may be deducted by the race directors following incorrect behaviors of the drivers (ex. Accidents)

    2.2 WARNINGS
In addition to the license points the drivers may be subject to a warning penalty. A warning stands for a minor incorrect behavior not enough serious to justify a point deduction. When a warning will be given is explained in the following articles. Once the driver reaches his third warning this will lead to a 1 point deduction from his license.

    ARTICOLO 4 – RACE ACCIDENTS

    4.1 RACE ACCIDENTS

Will be considered as race accidents those where, for example, two or more drivers will touch each other and lose time during a battle. For example, in the event of a driver finishing long due to a wheel to wheel fight or for those accidents not severe enough to be included in the categories below leading to no further actions (penalties).

    4.3 SEVERE ACCIDENTS
In the event of a severe accident a 5 to 15 seconds penalty will be added to the race time and the deduction of 1 or more points from the driving license. We consider a severe accident those cases where a damage to an opponent is caused by the driver (involving the one in battle or another) or a time loss (for example causing a driver to spin).

    4.4 NO FURTHER ACTIONS
In case there are no onboard videos uploaded, after the Under Investigations are provided by the race directors, and the live doesn’t clarify the responsibility of a specific driver, a NFA evaluation will be applied to the accidents (No Further Action, which means there’s no need to investigate further).

    5.5 RE-JOIN A LOBBY AFTER A CRASH
In the event of a crash the driver rejoining the lobby must be careful and avoid troubles. It can happen that rejoining a lobby may cause a desync bethween the driver and the session, leading to a wrong standing at the end of the race, with the driver being overtaken by others even if no penalty was given by the game. If this occurs, the driver must inform the whisper about the issue, then, a video providing evidences of the issue and the race director screen providing lap and standing infos will be evaluated by the race directors at the end of the race.

    ARTICLE 6 – CHANGE DIRECTIONS

    6.1 CHANGE DIRECTIONS

Only one direction change is allowed during an overtake attempt, unless it’s not dangerous. The allowed movements must be complete and never interrupted. This means that from where it starts, the driver can move left or right and then return to the original position but only if there’s enough space with the driver behind and well before a braking point. If the direction change is performed right before a braking point, this action will be considered as an in brake movement and will be subject to a penalty as explained in the following paragraphs.

    6.2 NON DANGEROUS DIRECTION CHANGE
If the direction change is different from those described above and is performed during a straight (ex. Zig zagging) a 5 seconds penalty will be applied to the driver.

    6.3 DANGEROUS DIRECTION CHANGE
If the direction change leads to a danger for the driver that follows, a 10 seconds penalty will be applied plus 2 points will be deducted from the driver license.

    6.4 IN BRAKE DIRECTION CHANGE
If the direction change is performed inside a braking zone (the infamous Verstappen rule) a 10 seconds penalty will be applied plus 1 point will be deducted from the driver license.

    6.5 ACCIDENTS DURING DIRECTION CHANGES

    7.1 LAPPING RULES

During the lapping phase the driver must allow the overtake at the first spot available. If the maneuver causes harm to other pilots this will be evaulated as a dangerous behavior.

7.2 PENALTY FOR NOT FOLLOWING THE RULES
In case the lapping rule is disobeyed, a 10 seconds penalty will be applied plus a 1 point deduction from the license. If the lapped driver causes an accident, to the given penalty will be added also the one for severe accident (see above).

ARTICLE 8 – PIT IN – PIT OUT BEHAVIOR

8.1 PIT LANE ENTRY AND EXIT
It is mandatory to stay within the line separating the pitlane from the track (since no walls are parting them) both while entering or leaving the pits. In case there are multiple lines, the outer one must be taken as reference).

8.2 PENALTIES FOR FAILING THE PIT LANE RULES
For those disobeying the rule while entering a 3 seconds penalty and a warning will be applied to the driver at the end of the race. For the ones failing at the rule while exiting the pits, a 5 seconds penalty and a warning will be applied. In case this behavior leads to other drivers being harmed a more severe penalty will be evaluated by the race directors.

8.3 PIT IN PIT OUT VIDEO REQUEST
In the event the race direction asks for the pit in or pit out videos as an evidence and the driver fails to provide them, the investigation will end with the above penalty, with the directors taking into account that it has been performed.

ARTICLE 9 – RETURNING TO TRACK

    9.1 RETURNING TO TRACK RULES

The return on track performed after a mistake or an accident must not foreclose the proper race progress.

    9.2 DANGEROUS RETURN TO TRACK
In case a driver dangerously returns on track at least a 5 seconds penalty plus 1 point deduction will be applied. Depending on the consequences and the threat posed by the driver, the penalty may result increased.

    10.1 TRACK EXTENSION GENERAL RULES

    Qualify:
In case a driver crosses the track limit white line during his fastest lap attempt, he won’t be able to attend the next race qualifying session.

    Race:
Everytime the track limit white line is crossed with al four wheels without slowing down a warning will be given. At the third warning a 3 seconds penalty will be applied.

    10.2 TRACK EXTENSION EXCEPTIONS
If the game applies incorrect penalties in specific zones of the track and this is recognized before the race, GRR Staff may provide communication that the penalties or warnings given by the game can be removed. The drivers will have to provide evidences by recording the race (showing the penalty message in game) and in addition, the complete lap list and the warning given by the game, from the race director menu.

    10.3 PENALTIES REMOVAL
In case the game provides a wrong penalty, the driver can ask for a penalty removal only if he managed to inform the whisper IMMEDIATELY about the issue (right after the moment it occurredn) and then by uploading the video providing evidences about it on the race direction thread. For example, in the event of a fight between two drivers, the one being pushed outside the track receives a penalty by the game for having exceeded the track limits.

In case a driver performs an overtake by running outside the track a 10 seconds penalty will be applied to the race time.

    ARTICLE 11 – WHISPER

    11.1 WHISPER WHO AND WHAT?

The Whisper is the supporting role for all the drivers during all the races of the championships. He has many duties: Make sure that the race is performed the best way possible and without issues, he must make sure that all the drivers are ok from comms perspective and that no danger is posed to the safety of others (ie. Lag). In case the whisper notices that, he can order a driver to give way to the one following to avoid accidents or dangerous situations. The whisper can also allow or refuse an abandon request from a driver during the race, in case the driver is having issues that can’t be solved (connection, hw failure, real life problems). The whisper must also provide informations during the Live of those penalties that may be subject to review in order to allow the race engineers to take them into account. The whisper must not be summoned for anything (i.e accidents). The whisper function must be set on TeamSpeak before the start of the race. The name of the member of the race direction that will play the whisper role will be provided to the drivers before the start of the race through the standard communication channels.

11.2 PENALTIES FOR MISSING TO OBSERVE WHISPER’S ORDERS
In case the driver fails to observe the order given by the whisper (i.e. give way to the following driver due to lag) a penalty from 2 points deduction to race disqualification will be applied. In case an accident occurs due to the driver failing to observe the order given by the whisper, the above penalty will be added to the maximum possible for a serious accident, at least, 15 seconds penalty plus 2 license points deduction.

ARTICLE 12 – IN RACE RETIREMENT

    12.1 VOLUNTARY IN RACE RETIREMENT

A voluntary in race retirement is absolutely forbidden for any reason. If it happens, the driver must skip the qualifying session for the next following race and a 1 license points deduction will be given.
If the driver that performed a voluntary retirement received penalties during the race direction phase, these will be applied applied to the next race attended. This is meant to avoid any possible workarounds by drivers.
If a driver fails to provide the video evidences of his retirement once asked by the race directors, it will be automatically considered as a voluntary one. The race directors will always ask retirement evidences only if the suspect of a voluntary one is in place.

12.2 ALLOWANCE TO LEAVE A RACE
In case a driver is attending a race and he’s not in his best physical condition, he can ask the “WHISPER” the permission to leave the race without retiring. This chance will be given only to those informing about their ill state prior the race. The whisper will allow drivers to leave the race in case technical issues occurs during the event.

ARTICLE 13 – ACCIDENTS DUE TO LAG

    13.1 INFORMING ABOUT LAG

If comms issues occurs during the race, the driver will be informed by the Whisper and will have to give way to the driver behing him. He will also have to keep a 1.5 seconds distance between himself and any other driver in the session.

    13.2 PENALTIES DUE TO LAG
In case of accidents caused by a driver’s temporary lag, the latter will receive a penalty depending on the damages caused to other drivers (see Article 4)

    ARTICLE 14 – RECIDIVISM

Recidivism means to perform the same violation in a short races interval (Recidivism is applied for the following 3 races after a given penalty). In order to grant the best progress for the championships, we consider that a reiterate wrong behavior must be punished more severely. This means that all the penalties above will receive an addition of 5 seconds and 1 more license point each. The purpose is to remove these behaviors by raising awareness with the drivers.

    ARTICLE 15 – ABSENCES

    15.1 ABSENCE RULES

In case an absence is foreseen, this must communicated to the race directors within the proper thread on the Forum. In case of multiple absences, the managers may proceed to seek for a substitute with the consequent removal from the championships for the missing player.

    ARTICLE 16 – ACS F1(Anticheat System)

    16.1 ACS RULES

The use of the anticheat software is mandatory and can be downloaded from the Download section on the Forum.

    16.2 ACS START
Participating to an official session, without the anticheat or without using it properly (we do remind that the anticheat must be started 15 minutes before the official start time of the race and must be kept open until the end) will lead to the driver being disqualified from the race. In case of crashes or if the driver leaves the session, the anticheat must be restarted. If the ACS finds out problems with the files or an incorrect behavior, the managers may ask to start a Team Viewer session to check the game folder. If the ACS finds cheats/mods the user will be banned from the community.

    ARTICLE 17 – LOBBY F1

    17.1 LOBBY CREATION

The race lobby will be created at least 5 minutes prior the official race time.

    17.2 SESSION START
The lobby will start within 5 minutes from the official race time.

    17.3 MINIMUM NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS
To allow the race to be performed at least 66% of the drivers must be available to race. Below this threshold the race won’t be performed and will be postponed following race directors communications.

    17.4 LOBBY CRASH AND RESET
In case the lobby crashes, for example, due to Steam issues, the lobby will be reset as per below methods:

    - If the crash happens during qualifying, the qualify will be reset with single lap and the race will be performed with 50% lenght

    - If the crash happens before the race has reached 25% of the laps, the session will be created using the original starting grid.

    - If the crash happens with the race between 25 to 50% of the laps, the session will be created with the last available lap standing.

    - If the crash happens with the race between 50 and 75% of the laps, it won’t be completed and half the points will be given to the drivers.

    - Over 75% of the race, the last available lap will be used to set the final standings. If the race session can’t be created after a crash or it didn’t started due to lack of participants, it will be postponed and performed at the first available spot in the calendar.
